Boys will be Boys...!!!

There are some girls who prefer to have boys as friends..because boys have lesser issues and lesser brains… and I completely agree… most of my girls in my life…are most comfortable with their boys gang around…they not only get complete attention in the gang…but the boys take care of the gentle lady with utmost care…

There are few boys ..Really very few ..who don’t want more girls in life than boys…and I certainly do not relate to that species. I find the company with a girl is more romantic …more relaxed…more soul searching and most times..leaves you confused!! The only way you conclude is by telling your heart and mind… “Dude…just relax....women are complex! KLPD is a way of life”

God was certainly right…he made us totally different from each other…be it the way we grow up as kids… ( I can say this now that I have a girl and a boy in my home..growing up)…. Be it in the way we study in school… the way our uniform looks at the end of the day… the way we play…the games we play in school…( not mind games…I meant ..sports)… the way we become mature…yup..I meant change of voice and moustaches…the way and the reasons behind we choosing career defining courses after school… the way we approach life once we get out of college…the way we react to the news of birth a of new one…or a news of the death of a loved one…the way we behave inside  home..inside bedroom..It’s amazing how we live all our lives so different and most times…like two perfect opposites..!!!

I took my niece on a drive one day…on the same Kormangla 100 ft road, which I have travelled for the last 5 years..almost daily… and slowly as we passed the known places like the corner house ice-cream shop…the ben10 toy shop…and sapna book stall… Anie, my niece suddenly looked up and called out to me  to watch the pink flowers in the tree… I ignored her as I would have seen  red color if I had banged the auto in front… but my little champ was adamant…she kept showing at least 10 different colors till we reached home…and I promise to you all… I had never observed those trees…those flowers..those colors on my way home till that day… even today.. I look up occasionally to see those flowers and remember Anie.. ( it’s another matter that I can barely name a color which doesn’t fall into Red / blue / black / white / green and Yellow..) ..some call it color blind..some say…you are the Man!

I loved ..and I still love girls who play outdoor sports..it’s a turn-on to see fit woman challenging herself in a marathon race..or in athletics…in team sport..Tennis  or swimming ( the last two …I thank their federation for the dress codes :-) ) There is a different kick one gets when you compete with a determined girl…god save you ..should you lose in that race…!!

It has happened to me many times… I have lost 100 meters in 7th standard to Gayathri…whom we eventually called PT Usha in school…I have lost in arm wrestling to a girl in high school…( I still blame the distraction techniques used)… I have lost in who-blinks-first against a pair of gorgeous eyes… !!!

But as you grow older…when you actually get to meet the complex woman in every girl… you will soon realize how gifted they are…how simple but complex they are at the same time…how much sacrifices they do on a daily basis…how much adjustments they do..in their choices to accommodate husbands and sons and brothers and boyfriends..! it is amazing and sometimes unbelievable to see them during their pregnancy and post delivery days… Gosh..! you cannot stop from feeling mesmerized at their stamina…at their will power…the way they control pain..anger..frustration..and still keep a smile on their face when they meet people who throw free advicesJ especially those irritating advices which is of no value except bringing a superiority complex to the person barking it out!

Now that brings us back to the first line…why would girls want to have more friends in Boys rather than girls… I am not a girl in any wide angle imagination…so I can only speculate…! I guess they like us in a gang because…we care a damn..what they are wearing to start with…we don’t care if she has shaved her legs and hands and bum.,..( trust us girls…we have no blinking idea why you get your eye brow hairs removed with so much pain…you look the same before and after… in fact, when we look at you…we have hardly any time to look at your eye brows…or even your eyes…)…

We also have very less issues being bullied by a girl in the gang..we actually enjoy it…we will drop you to your home…we will pick you from home…we will not ask why are you sad…(we know it’s because you didn’t find your eye liner….)…we will not ask you why you won’t come and watch Jim Carry movies..or why you wouldn’t want to try a smoke…we don’t ask you your share of the bill…but will not mind if you pay for it…we don’t mind waiting along with you till you get a rickshaw to take you home…follow the rickshaw till your home…ensuring you reached safe… No wonder you like to be with boyz!!
But, do these boys change the moment you go home… Yes..you bet! We are totally a different breed when you girls are not with us or not seeing us… we then change back to our original color…remove the masks…remove the sophisticated shield around our body and will be as god wanted us to be…rude..rash..rustic…!!

But among these, I have been lucky to have a gang of 5 guys..from my High school… another gang of 4 boys from my college days from the police quarters… another gang called PJ Club.. from my Oracle days…and my Neeli gang!

Girls…you will not believe that we also chit chat….we also talk about shopping…we also talk about evening walks and early sunrises…. But the difference is ..our chitchat is either about sports and cricket or the latest CM in Bangalore…or about our eternal plan to have a boys only trip…either in Spain…then cut down to Goa…then cut it down to Bangalore over a weekend dinner…and eventually not meet up and plan again….!

Our shopping plans are strictly to do with Automobiles or just mobiles. Anything else is a burden and should be handed over to the more complex human beings….including the under garments that we wear has to be bought by the girls in our lives…

Our evening walks have to be to a movie..or a walk to the pub…and sunrise discussions are about our eternal hope of starting jogging or joining a gym.. our ever growing tummy is a sign of prosperity…hair fall and growing bald is fashion statement…snoring and burping is god’s way of telling us that everything is ok inside our digestive system…leaving the wet towel  on the bed is a reminder you should get a pair of hangers …searching for kerchief and socks is our tradition…forgetting anniversary and Birthday is our birthright…and making love every night is our dream…! Foreplay excluded!
