Changing Seasons..!!

Green hard seat and a rusted bar to hold…pressed to the corner by the two fat men and sticking onto the mud stuck window ..luckily half opened and blowing enough wind to keep you wide awake..endless coffee estates running behind your sight..in between some villages..some open paddy fields..occasional group of villagers…all of them ignorant that the red bus is zipping past them and taking me to my Coorg....the more the distance covered by the bus…I was feeling more away from the school…more away from the routine…and gradually into a space which I would have been waiting..for months now.. All my school days..I would wait for the sultry and sweaty summer…for a carefree two months of discover-your-life-times…feel highly energetic…eat amazingly fast and full..play almost all day and night..and only worry about which game to play next at the end of one.. I believe that your parents also love you more these days…it seems strange but true… there would be no yelling from the kitchen ...

Love thy women!!!!!

For most of you who care…my writing is getting a little boring because I have been harping on just one theme for such a long time..that of friendships/heartaches /love at first and second sights/school crushes and adult fondness   and all those temporary soft emotions of life…!!! I guess, in order to balance my life between being a teenager at heart and a middle aged bald short guy in reality..I have always been biased towards living a dreamy life..lovey dovey stuff has been my way of escaping from realities of life..but every dream has to end..isn’t it..? I definitely want to write more about the realities of life..the hunger in Somalia (which is sometimes similar to that in my office canteen)… about the wars being fought in Middle East (similar to our living rooms) ; about Indian Hockey team’s perfect score in London (which resembles my Trignometry marks in PUC )…about how water is costlier than milk in Bangalore..how solar powered vehicles can save our planet..how politic...

Get up and Keep walking !!!

To write a blog normally, I take inspiration from how and with whom I spend my days and nights… my relationships with friends of different kinds..sometimes from known strangers :)  It’s been almost two months since I wrote my mind for all my friends who read my blog. I did promise that I will write often, but things haven’t been well with me as a person and hence the delay. Not that I am back to the best of my writer’s mind but today is a rare day when I found myself totally alone. Away from loved ones..away from even those who don’t care anymore. This year has been a roller-coaster.. It included some of my best moments in life...there were moments which have been the “Top of my life” happy moments…there were days and nights which will be the saddest of my life of 33 years. There have been some compliments which made me feel on cloud nine …there have been comments that I wish I never heard. There were moments which made loved ones trust me with their deepest secrets and ...

“You are..What you are.. …when you are ALONE!!!”

Richard wrote this on our classroom’s blackboard under the thought for the day column.. This was in 9 th standard… It has stuck with me till date more than Richard has… :-) It is so true and everyone knows it.   You will act / behave / Talk and sometimes even walk differently when you see a girl and if you are a gay, you when see a man. I am only talking about boys here…for I believe Girls are always the same. In front of others or when they are alone, they are faking :-).. ok ok..just kidding…( yeah right :-) ) It is very tough to get someone with whom you can trust to be yourself; without having to care if the other person would be judging you. So, you always will present your most polished Cheery Blossom face; which in reality is as much faking as everyone does on the first night of the wedding. But there is hope. Yes there is. For every now and then, you will find someone, out of the blue, who becomes a partner in life, love of your life or just a friend..Who i...

Boys will be Boys...!!!

There are some girls who prefer to have boys as friends..because boys have lesser issues and lesser brains… and I completely agree… most of my girls in my life…are most comfortable with their boys gang around…they not only get complete attention in the gang…but the boys take care of the gentle lady with utmost care… There are few boys ..Really very few ..who don’t want more girls in life than boys…and I certainly do not relate to that species. I find the company with a girl is more romantic …more relaxed…more soul searching and most times..leaves you confused!! The only way you conclude is by telling your heart and mind… “Dude…just relax....women are complex! KLPD is a way of life” God was certainly right…he made us totally different from each other…be it the way we grow up as kids… ( I can say this now that I have a girl and a boy in my home..growing up)…. Be it in the way we study in school… the way our uniform looks at the end of the day… the way we play…the games we p...

Hope.... When everything else fails.!!!

Morgan Freeman’s character in the movie “The Shawshank Redemption” serves 30 years in the prison…and at a point says.. “I don’t know where all those years went by…and there is nothing left except hope..”   30 years is almost the full lifetime of us who are reading this blog… Just imagine someone who is confined inside a small room for that many years..and still has hope… a hope to feel free..to breathe and to live…atleast for a tiny moment before you die..!! Early 1980’s..my mom would get up..clean the mud house we lived in..Clean the cow dung..Walk upto a mile to the river to wash clothes..carrying me by her side…drag herself back to the house to cook food…go to the field to help rest of the family to make sure the crop this year yields better.. so that we are alive for the next year,,…   With no future to get out of the poverty..with 2 kids in front of her…all she did was Hope…!! She hoped that Dad and she could manage some job… her kids would go to some school ...

Friends....!!!!

Rakesh Jaitley, my colleague in Oracle and a very good friend inspired me to write this theme on Friends..   You feel humbled when someone like Rakesh says he loved reading what you wrote..For I have not known many like him, who takes life like a song..and most times, literally.. He is one of the happiest people I have come across and optimism takes notes from him when things are down… There have been many friends I have in life and I will for sure take all of your names in my blog over time…for each one of you have made me what I am today..in your own ways… This was during my initial lonely days in Bangalore, when I was totally irritated with my parent’s decision to bring me to Bangalore from Mysore..I had been distanced from Billa and Phani…and the gang of boys and girls who all joined colleges together or atleast near to each other and met everyday… However, back here, I had no friends to even to talk..no fun..and to top it all, Dad got me into a college full of ner...
